O have one Monstera plant that has just shooted out a leaf. Not only did I name her and give her the best seat in my house, but I placed moss on the top of her soil as well as various rocks and seashells I have found on some of my travels throughout the years.
Gnats lay their eggs in the soil, so the best way to get rid of them is to remove the top few inches of soil to get the larvae out and layering fresh soil on top.
